The Cathedral Choir Of Men And Boys Present Gloria! A Festival of English Anthems And Hymns

Albany’s oldest, continually singing men and boys choir will celebrate great English composers in its spring concert.

The Cathedral Choir of Men and Boys is the longest continually singing men and boys choir in the United State – performing for 144 years. They are the resident choir at the Cathedral of All Saints in Albany, NY. Boys ages 7-14 sing as trebles in the choir, which is a unique and rich opportunity to carry on the English choral boy choir tradition here in the Capital Region. The gentlemen of the choir are all local, professional musicians.

Tomorrow April 19 at 7 pm they will perform a program entitled Gloria! A Festival of English Anthems and Hymns.

Here to tell us more are Woodrow Bynum, Director of Music at the Cathedral of All Saints; Graham Schultz, organist for the concert and former Lloyd Cast Organ Fellow at the Cathedral; and Oliver Nathanielsz, a young singer in the choir.

Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
