Berkshire Pilot Laptop Program Moves Ahead

Pittsfield, MA – Andover, Massachusetts made national news when it announced three years ago that it would give all of the town's fifth graders laptops. School officials there now say that program will be discontinued as of this month because there isn't enough money. At the same time, Pittsfield, Massachusetts is moving forward with their own pilot laptop program, which would provide all middle school students in Berkshire County's two cities with their own computers. WAMC's Kelly Wilkinson reports.
