Barrington Stage Company Presents "West Side Story"

For its third mainstage production this summer, Barrington Stage Companyin Pittsfield, Massachusetts presents “West Side Story,” book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. The original 1957 Broadway production of “West Side Story,” was conceived, directed and choreographed by Jerome Robbins. 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the births of both Leonard Bernstein and Jerome Robbins.

Barrington Stage’s Artistic Director Julianne Boyd directs the masterpiece tale of star-crossed lovers which will run August 3 through September 1 and she joined us at The Linda along with the production’s Maria, Tony, and Anita -- respectively played by Addie Morales, Will Branner, and Skyler Volpe. We are also joined by Musical Director Darren Cohen.

Sarah has been a public radio producer for over fifteen years. She grew up in Saranac Lake, New York where she worked part-time at Pendragon Theatre all through high school and college. She graduated from UAlbany in 2006 with a BA in English and started at WAMC a few weeks later as a part-time board-op in the control room. Through a series of offered and seized opportunities she is now the Senior Contributing Producer of The Roundtable and Producer of The Book Show. During the main thrust of the Covid-19 pandemic shut-down, Sarah hosted a live Instagram interview program "A Face for Radio Video Series." On it, Sarah spoke with actors, musicians, comedians, and artists about the creative activities they were accomplishing and/or missing.
