Vocal Fry in the Workplace
Dr. Casey A. Klofstad holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Harvard University, and is Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Miami. His research focuses on the influence of society and biology on human behavior. He is the author of Civic Talk: Peers, Politics, and the Future of Democracy (Temple University Press, 2011), and numerous peer-reviewed articles in outlets such as The American Journal of Political Science, Political Behavior, Public Opinion Quarterly, and Political Research Quarterly, among others.

Ole Hertel - Aarhus University
Air Pollution Modeling
Ole Hertel is a professor at Aarhus University, Denmark. He is a specialist in air pollution modeling. He has more than twenty-five years of experience in developing and using mathematical models to describe air pollution, as well as to interpret measuring and calculation data. His focus has been on describing two conditions: 1) the contribution of air pollution to the eutrophication of nature both on land and at sea via ammonia and nitrogen oxides and 2) human exposure to air pollution that can be hazardous to health.

Dr. Edward LeBrun is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Integrative Biology, College of Natural Sciences at The University of Texas at Austin. He works in the Brackenridge Field Laboratory and is a member of the UT Austin Fire Ant Lab Staff.

His research, employing discourse analysis and social representations theory, addresses social issues pertaining to refugees, racism, intergroup relations, climate change, environmental risk perception and new and emerging communities in South Australia.

Dr. Lauri O. Byerley received her bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition, Related Science from Iowa State University and her master’s in nutritional science from Purdue University. She was awarded her Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Biological Sciences from the University of California in Los Angeles, CA. As well, she is a Registered Dietitian. She has been a faculty member of several nutrition departments and taught nutrition at several accredited universities. During the last two decades, she has been actively involved in nutrition research.
