Associate News Director Patrick Donges was brought on as Assistant News Director at WAMC in 2011 after first serving as the station’s Berkshire Bureau Chief out of Pittsfield, MA. Prior to his time at WAMC he reported on the city of Saratoga Springs for The Saratogian newspaper and served as News Director of WCDB 90.9 FM Albany, the University at Albany’s student radio station.

Born and raised in New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley, where he was an avid WAMC listener, Patrick first became acquainted with the WAMC News team in-person as a newsroom intern while completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in public affairs journalism and political science at the State University of New York at Albany.

The LA Dodger’s Clayton Kershaw pitched a complete shut out in his first outing of the season, not to mention his walk off home run to win the game. The powerhouse New York Yankees, depicted on the cover of the New Yorker as geriatric patients, lost to the rival Boston Red Sox.
