Hundreds Turn Out for Vermont Nuke Meeting

Violation Report Process Changes

North Creek, NY – A new process for reporting violations on state lands in the Adirondacks is being implemented. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the Adirondack Park Agency are formalizing the process following the settlement of a lawsuit brought by an environmental watchdog group. WAMC's North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.

CT River Valley Full of Dinosaur Tracks

Holyoke, MA – The Connecticut River Valley of Western Massachusetts is one of the richest sources of fossilized dinosaur tracks on the globe. But over the years, people have been chipping the tracks out of the rock. WAMC"s Berkshire Bureau Chief Kelly Wilkinson spent an afternoon with a geologist in the area and has this report.

Lower Gas and Electric Bills Come the Summer

Groups Push to Include HV Areas On Pollution List

Albany, NY – The EPA is scheduled to put out a list tomorrow of areas across the county that do not meet federal clean air standards. Environmentalists in New York say the likely list of counties is not long enough, and should extend north of the lower Hudson Valley. Lake Clean-up Website Launched

Montpelier, VT – The state of Vermont has launched a new endeavor in its effort to clean up Lake Champlain. Governor Douglas has unveiled a website that officials hope will help educate the public on how they can reduce phosphorus run-off into the lake.
