Proposal to Aid Permanent Home Buyers in Adirondacks

Plattsburgh, NY – New York state Senator Betty Little is introducing legislation that would give tax breaks to home buyers seeking primary homes in the Adirondacks. The proposal is intended to address the lack of affordable housing for middle and lower income Adirondack residents. WAMC's North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.

Pittsfield, MA Mayor Details Vision for City

Pittsfield, MA – Pittsfield Mayor James Ruberto offered his vision for the city yesterday, painting a bright picture about Pittsfield future -- but, warning that teacher layoffs would be the result of union leaders not agreeing to concessions, which he is calling for. Plattsburgh in Top 5 Nationally for Economic Development

Plattsburgh, NY – Plattsburgh, New York has been recognized by a leading corporate magazine as a key small community in the nation for economic development. The Plattsburgh/North Country Chamber of Commerce announced this morning that the city ranks fourth. HV Communities Look Abroad for Partnerships
