Northampton, MA – First Night celebrations to ring in the New Year draw thousands of people to events in such places as Albany and Saratoga Springs as well as Burlington, Vermont. In western Massachusetts, ever since Pittsfield's First Night was discontinued several years ago, the Northampton celebration has been a magnet for locals and visitors.

Rain and Snow Mix Causes Different Slides

Montpelier, VT – The fluctuation in weather from rain to snow this weekend brought different things sliding down the region's hills. In Montpelier, Vermont the rain caused a rock slide that came perilously close to an apartment complex. But once it changed to snow, lots of skiiers came out to slide down mountains.
