Chet Walker has been the Director of Jacob's Pillow's Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance program for the past 14 seasons. The choreographer has worked on Broadway for 40 years - starting at the age of sixteen when he appeared in the first revival of On the Town. He was in the original Broadway production of Pippin and this year returns to that show as choreographer for the multi-nominated Diane Paulus directed revival - the show's first since its original run closed in 1977 (after 1,944 performances).

This Sunday, May 26th - Club Helsinki in association with Showstoppers New York presents Judy Kuhn in All This Happiness as part of their Helsinki on Broadway cabaret series.

Judy Kuhn is a three time Tony nominee for her work in the Broadway musicals: Les Miserables, Chess, and She Loves Me. She was also the singing voice of Pocahantas in the 1995 animated Disney film of the same name, which means she sang the Academy Award winning song, “Colors of the Wind” in that movie.

In All This Happiness she weaves together tunes from the pop songwriters and musical theatre composers that have had the most influence on her.

Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella is on Broadway for the first time. The beloved musical with its signature songs “Impossible,” “In My Own Little Corner,” and “Do I Love You Because You’re Beautiful” - to name a few - was written for television and hasn’t had a production on the Great White Way - until now.

With a new book by Douglas Carter Beane, Cinderella is directed by Mark Brokaw and stars Laura Osnes as Ella, Victoria Clark as her dotty-to-dazzling Fairy Godmother, Harriet Harris as her puffed-up and pernicious stepmother, and Santino Fontana as Topher, the Prince conflicted on his way to charming.

Charlotte d'Amboise - Broadway Revival of "Pippin"

This week, Pippin opens on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre. With book by Roger O. Hirson, music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, Pippin is directed by Diane Paulus. This production features sizzling choreography in the style of Bob Fosse and breathtaking acrobatics by Les 7 doigts de la main. Gypsy Snider helmed the circus creation and choreography is by Chet Walker.

This is the first Broadway revival of Pippin since the Tony Award winning original production directed by Bob Fosse and starring Ben Vereen - which opened in 1972.

The cast features Matthew James Thomas, Patina Miller, Andrea Martin, Rachel Bay Jones, Terrence Mann, and Charlotte d’Amboise.

Tony Award nominee, Charlotte d’Amboise plays Fastrada - her other Broadway credits include Chicago, A Chorus Line, Jerome Robbins Broadway, Sweet Charity, Damn Yankees, Contact, Company, Carrie, Song & Dance, and CATS. She is also the co-founder (with husband Terrence Mann) of a Musical Theatre Intensive called Triple Arts.

Tonight, Tony Award® Winner Richard Greenberg’s new play The Assembled Parties opens at Manhattan Theatre Club in New York City - it’s been in previews since March 21st and is scheduled to run through June 2nd.

The Assembled Parties welcomes us to the world of the Bascovs, an Upper West Side Jewish family in 1980. In a sprawling Central Park West apartment, former movie star Julie Bascov and her sister-in-law Faye bring their families together for their traditional holiday dinner. But tonight, things are not usual. A houseguest has joined the festivities for the first time and he unwittingly - or perhaps by design - insinuates himself into the family drama. Twenty years later, as 2001 approaches, the Bascovs' seemingly picture-perfect life may be about to crumble.

The play is directed by Manhattan Theatre Club’s Artistic Director, Lynne Meadow, and the cast includes Tony and 2-time Emmy winner Judith Light, Tony nominee Jeremy Shamos, and Tony nominee Jessica Hecht.

Jessica Hecht’s other Broadway credits include The Last Night at of Ballyhoo, After the Fall, Julius Ceasar, Brighton Beach Memoirs, A View from the Bridge, and Harvey. Recent television credits include AMC’s Breaking Bad and HBO’s Bored to Death.

Chip Zien - Roundabout Theatre Company's production of "The Big Knife"

Roundabout Theatre Company presents an electrifying new production of Clifford Odets’ classic, The Big Knife, at The American Airlines Theatre on West 42nd St in New York City. The show is currently in previews and officially opens on Tuesday, April 16th.

This is the first revival of the 1949 play - which was adapted for the screen in 1955 - produced and directed there by Robert Aldrich.

In the play, directed by Tony Award® winner, Doug Hughes, Bobby Cannavale is Charlie Castle, a film super-star stuck in the studio-system of the 1940s. In the golden age of Hollywood cinema, actors may have all the glory, but studio execs have all the power. It’s a classic tale about keeping your integrity in the face of success. Richard Kind plays Marcus Hoff, the fast talking pressure-heavy head of the studio and Chip Zien plays Nat Danziger, Charlie’s loyal agent.

Chip Zien’s previous Broadway credits include - but are not limited to - Falsettos, The Boys from Syracuse, Grand Hotel, and he played The Baker in the original production of Stephen Sondheim’s Into The Woods.

Phoebe Strole - Manhattan Theatre Club's World Premiere of "The Madrid"

Manhattan Theatre Club was founded in 1970 and has grown in four decades from a prolific Off-Off Broadway showcase into one of the country’s most acclaimed theatre organizations. They are currently producing the world premiere of Liz Flahive’s play, The Madrid. The production is directed by two time Obie award winner, Leigh Silverman and is running through May 5th.

Edie Falco stars as Martha, a kindergarten teacher with a life many would want: a loving husband and a devoted daughter. But when she leaves it all behind, it's up to her daughter Sarah to pick up the pieces. It’s a darkly funny play, certain to evoke a cavalcade of feelings anyone lucky enough to attend.

The daughter, Sarah, is played by Phoebe Strole. Phoebe was last seen in the New York City premiere of Dan LeFranc's The Big Meal at Playwrights Horizons. Other theater credits include the original cast of Spring Awakening, The Metal Children at Vineyard, and F2M at New York Stage & Film.
