 March is Brain Injury Awareness Month Accidents happen. Brain injury happens. In the blink of an eye, everything changes. How will you identify brain injury if it happens to you or someone you love? Will you know the symptoms? How will you cope?  The Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts can answer your questions and help you find resources, including therapists, diagnostic services, rehabilitation, and more. BIA-MA offers support groups, workshops, and conferences to provide the latest information on treatment as well as an opportunity to network with others who share your experience. Long after medical treatment and rehabilitative services are well-established, survivors, family members, and caregivers often have lingering questions and unmet needs. BIA-MA has three offices in Massachusetts, including one in Western MA, that can help you. BIA-MA West has support groups for survivors and families throughout the region, can answer questions and provide local resources, and has programs and materials in English and Spanish, "We understand brain injury because we live with those issues in our own families.
